Remember me? Yeah, I don't either.

Hi! Hey! Hello! Howdy! I'm aliiiiiive! Sorry for the sudden disappearance, everyone. Things started picking up really quickly at my internship and well, the Olympics started so...there was no blogging for me! I'm loving it at my internship, though. I'm soaking in SOOO much. I've definitely gotten a taste of the work world and (hopefully) what my future will be like.

Anyway, back to the post...the long-awaited Puerto Rico travel diary post!!! (Note the multiple exclamation marks. Hence, you should be very excited.)

Had a layover in NYC...no wonder it's called the city that never sleeps.

And looky looky, I made a video too! Experience 5 minutes of my 5 days in Puerto Rico (yeah, I totally planned that). Kind of like a vlog but not really because I don't speak in it, still do watch! Puerto Rico's definitely a beautiful place: full of character and friendly people.

 

I hope you got a gist of my experience in Puerto Rico through this post. If you ever get the chance to, definitely definitely visit it one day. It may be rough around the edges in some areas, but well, any place is.

Hey y'all!

School is finally out and I am baaaaaack! Sorry for the impromptu hiatus. But anyway, I'm so happy to be blogging again! During the past two weeks, there was always something clawing at me to post, but I resisted that temptation. I needed to get mah work did.

So to update you guys a little on what I've been up to lately, here are some things that I've been recently doing!


Recently listening to:

Recently consumed:

"Swiss Mushroom" burger and fresh cut french fries; my friends and I have a yearly tradition to celebrate the last day of school at this lovely place called Eagle's Deli. Of course we kept the tradition going again this year!

Recently been reading:

1984 by George Orwell; I'm part of the recycling committee at my school so at our annual end-of-the-year clean-out of the entire school, I found this near-perfect condition copy of 1984. I'm really enjoying it so far, have you read this classic before?

Recently purchased:

Sunscreen and some Infallibles; I'm going to Puerto Rico on the 30th for some family vacationing so I needed a new sunblock! I got the baby version because I thought it might have fewer harsh chemicals, but still offer good protection. It also doesn't have that nasty sunscreen-y smell! I also got these two Infallibles, which I will definitely post about later (especially about the one on the left). I would have gotten a third one called Liquid Diamond (it was this beautiful lilac/lavender silver mishmash that I can't even describe properly), but I didn't bring enough money!

Recently been playing:

Pokemon Blue; on my old school Game Boy Advance (I still have GB Color though)! Ever since finals have been over, it's been Pokemon all over the place...which partially explains why I didn't update on Friday/Saturday as promised. (Hehehe, sorry about that.)

Recently went to:

THE BEACH; we have been hit with three straight days (and counting) of 100-degree weather here in Boston...which isn't exactly very comfortable, but nevertheless summer has finally arrived! By the end of that day I had gotten 5 shades darker (despite packing on 9 billion layers of sunscreen every few hours), oh boy.

I think I might make this a recurring theme/series on this blog -- not sure yet. It's kind of like a spin-off of 'Week in Pictures'? Tell me what you think!

Sorry for the minor absence. Thank you so much for all the positive feedback on my Domo post! It was definitely really fun writing it. Anyway, the reason for my absence is that...this week is FINALS (a.k.a. death) week for me, so I won't be updating until Saturday or Friday. There are 4 full days and 2 half days of school left, with the first few jam-packed with exams, presentations, and projects deadlines. Once I get those out of the way...FREEEDDOOOMMMM! I can't wait for the summer ahead!

And to not have this post be picture-less, here are some pictures of stuff in my life recently.

California Photo Diary

I hope you are all having a great week so far. Last week, I went to California with my parents during my school break. I present to you my 3 days in Cali by means of photographs! The weather was so gorgeous the entire stay (it was perfect). The favorite spots I visited would definitely be USC (such a beautiful campus), Little Tokyo (it was so serene and calm, yet bustling at the same time), and In-N-Out (those were DELICIOUS). I'll let the pictures do the talking so ready your eyes for some picture spam!

You know you're in California when you see these every two seconds...

We got a little hungry from all the walking so we got some fried clams.

Koreatown -- too much Korean, not enough English!

We ate at this Korean Tofu House Restaurant (can't seem to remember the name). The soup was so yummy and the tofu so fresh!

I ordered the Bibimbap.

Who goes to LA and doesn't visit the LA County Museum of Art? Not to mention the freaking amazing LAMPS!? They're gorgeous. I definitely want to go back again when the lights are actually turned on.

USC...it's SO beautiful. The campus tour was amazing.

Santa Monica Beach -- there's something about this photo that I like a lot. Empty beach; calm, clear blue sky with a streak or two of clouds; the shack in the distance.

Venice Beach Boardwalk at a distance -- the beaches are SO clean in Cali.

One thing I learned though...don't ever give Chinese parents a GPS because they will never ever listen to or understand it properly.
